Mueller charged Van de Zwaan with lying to the FBI in the investigation, and he pled guilty on Tuesday, the Washington Post reports.
Multiple people were injured in a fire in an apartment building in Rotterdam during the early hours of Wednesday morning. A total of 13 people were treated for smoke inhalation, 11 of which were taken to hospital, AD reports.
The building in question is assisted living location Roobrughof. It houses young people with psychological problems.
The fire started in a meter cupboard on the third floor of the five story building. When fire fighters arrived, a container on the ground floor also turned out to be on fire.
A 30-year-old man from ‘s-Hertogenbosch was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of kicking a 2-year-old boy in Rosmalen on February 12th. He is also suspected of assaulting a 4-year-old boy in ‘s-Hertogenbosch two days earlier, the police said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Supreme Court upheld a 16 years prison sentence against Utrecht serial rapist Gerard T. This is the third ruling and final ruling in this case. A few hundred Dutch flooded to the Laurentius- and Elisabeth cathedral in Rotterdam on Monday to say goodbye to former Prime Minister Ruud Lubbers, who passed away last week at the age of 78, NOS reports.

Several children in the Gelderland village of Kootwijkerbroek were confronted by a killer clown, who is sometimes naked, over the past days. A number of schools in the neighborhood warned parents not to let their children walk to school or home alone, according to Omroep Gelderland.

Dutch municipalities should pay more attention to the safety of cyclists, according to travelers’ association ANWB. Cyclists’ safety can be improved by, among other things, implementing more restrictive measures on car traffic in the big cities, ANWB director Frits van Bruggen said to newspaper AD.

The body of a woman was found in a home on Kraaijenbergstraat in Hattem on Monday evening. The police believe she was killed in a crime. A man was arrested in the home on suspicion of involvement in the woman’s death, the Gelderland police said on Twitter.
No details were released about the identity of the victim or the suspect. The police also didn’t say how the woman died, or whether she and the man knew each other.
The police closed down the home for forensic investigation. According to NOS, police officers also spoke to local residents.

The Netherlands is turning into a “narco state” where drug trafficking thrives and most criminal groups are left undisturbed, the union warns in the report that NOS has in its position.
